"I go pock" "I bing"
Translation- I go to the park. I swing.
In case you missed that one.
Thanks to the beautiful summer weather we spend a lot of time at the local parks, and I do mean a lot of time. I am having trouble getting pictures as of late because the princess usually stomps her feet and says no, no, no. The pictures come out looking like she is mad, or have her running away from me, or putting her hand over the camera so sorry about the lack of pics lately.
Here are some of the last week.

*Sigh*
Happy 4th of July....a few days late :)
We went for Zoe's cardiology check up today. We have been going every 3-6 months since she was born and they are always a source of stress for us. Not so much about what they will find, we know pulmonary stenosis is a pretty stable defect, meaning it doesn't get considerably worse in a few months time. Our stress is more over the fact that Zoe is terrified of doctors, but who can blame her? She has been for all the regular pediatrician visits that are in the first two years of life, plus cardiology visits every 3-6 months, and Synagist shots every month from Oct-April. So she purple face cries almost the whole time and we are all exhausted when we leave. But this time was such a sigh of relief. She played nicely after a short bout of crying. We brought 2 new toys and apparently they were a hit and kept her calm almost the entire time. Her pictures looked so good that they cleared her for a whole year!!!! We could not be happier :) Bad news is our cardiologist, whom we love and drive almost 2 hours each way to see, is moving to Pittsburg. Not sure what we will do about that, but we have some time to think about it.
Otherwise we are just enjoying the summer by swimming and playing at the various parks. We both worked on the 4th so we celebrated on the 7th at my parents with swimming and seafood. Zoe is really doing a good job with my dad in trying to reach and kick.
Here are some pics from the past week.

Our Cruise
Lar and I took our first vacation sans baby. We wanted to take a cruise, me- anywhere warm, him-Alaska. Guess who got to pick.....because it was in celebration of my 30th birthday. We visited Key West and Cozumel on a 4 night cruise. The weather was very rainy, so we didn't get enjoy much time off of the ship, but for those who have cruised before you know it doesn't matter. Plenty of things to do on the ship. We mainly rested. Slept in, took long naps, and enjoyed food being cooked for us. I played Bingo everyday (yes I have loved it since my Minnie James showed me how to play when I was very young) and we even made a little winnings. Over all it was very enjoyable.
Putt-putt on the top deck, that's the "tail" behind us
Monkey towel friend, they made a new one each night
My parents where more than willing to keep the little booger for 6 days. Not sure they have recovered yet. Here are some of the pics they sent me daily to see what she was up to.
Father's Day 2009
I know it is belated, but Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.
Lar had to work on Father's Day since he is a weekender, so my parents and I took Zoe to the NC Zoo for the day. It was hot, hot, hot. 90 something. She didn't get to see a lot of animals as they had better sense than we did to stay in the shade, but I think she had a great time anyway.
