Potty Trained

We finally conquered the art of the potty.  After record breaking days of holding it, she finally figured it out.  Suckers as a reward helped until she started pottying a little, asking for a sucker, then going again and asking for another sucker, and so on and so on.  She actually used the potty 10 times in less than 2 hours one day (and I know it was real because we dump it each time together) so I had to stop the suckers and save them until she poops.  Let’s see her do that 10 times!  Wait, don’t let her hear that or I am sure Ms. Hardheaded will figure a way to do it.

So she is potty trained (poop and pee) during the day and almost at night.  We still put her pullup on at night but she generally wakes up dry.  Yipee!

We had promised her a fishy for when she got potty trained, so meet Bubbles.  He is a male betta fish who probably wishes he could have stayed at the pet store.  Zoe had no nap that day, as she is starting to drop her naps, so she dumped her cart out during a 2yo defiance episode in the store with all of our stuff in it, so poor Bubbles got thrown the the ground before we even left the store.

“No ya-lee-pops? Why?”

Cookie Monster eats more than cookies in this house.

Trick or Treating was a huge hit with Zoe this year.  We practiced all week how to ring the doorbell and what to say.  I took her to a local shopping center to do trick or treating in the stores and we stayed there a little over an hour.  She was very funny with what she picked out though.  We have just recently let her have suckers and she is crazy for them so she would look in the bowls for a lollipop and if she didn’t see one, put her hand out to the side and say, “No ya-lee-pops?  Why?” The people all thought this was funny, but Zoe didn’t see the humor in a bowl lacking suckers.  By the time she had rested on the trip home, she was ready to go out again.  We went out for about an hour around our neighborhood and then it started to drizzle.  It was already past her bed time, but with fall back time, we decided to let her stay up an extra hour or two.  So she handed candy out on the porch with me and then sorted the rest of her goodies.  The next morning she tried to put her costume on again and proclaimed “I go tick or teating again.  Mommy help?”  Can’t wait for Christmas this year.
