Cake and Friends

We had Zoe’s birthday party at a kid’s tumble gym called Rolly Pollies.  We had 13 friends, 5 babies (siblings of our friends) and all the parents.  Everyone had a blast.  They ran and played for an hour and then enjoyed chicken nuggets, fruit, cake and ice cream.  Best part is they do all the set up and clean up and my house doesn’t get trashed.  Here are a bunch of pictures of our day.

Zoe also had her 3 year check up yesterday.  She talked Dr. Mike’s ear off but insisted her name was “HoHo” when he asked.  She is 27.8 lbs (putting her in the 16th percentile) and 35 3/4 inches tall (putting her in 19th percentile).  So in short, no pun intended, roughly 80% of her peers are bigger than she is.  No shots this time and next check up is in a year where she will get all of her shots, vision and hearing tests for kindergarten.

The first Dentist appointment is on Tuesday.  I am positive that is going to be a rough day but will update next week.

Crikey Mate!

***Warning. Not for the faint of heart***

Despite Lar’s fear of snakes, Zoe loves all animals. So when there was a reptile fair last weekend, my parents took her to see the snakes and lizards. She loved them and let them crawl all over her. She wanted to give them all hugs and kisses they said. Here are some pictures.

Christmas 2009

We headed to PA for Christmas this year and enjoyed a white Christmas and our first real visit from HoHo.  Lar and Zoe headed up on Tues night but I had to work so I flew up the next morning.  They got there without incident but my travels were a little more complicated.  I was 45 minutes late taking off out of Charlotte and with only a 1hr layover in Philly, knew the chances were slim.  None the less I ran through the Philly airport and took the slow shuttle to the F terminal all the while hearing “Run, Run, Rudolph”  in my head.  Got to the gate to see no plane.  Called the family to come get me only to hear that Katie’s plane (which was supposed to be in Philly at 9am) was cancelled but by the luck of the Irish she made it standby and would be in Philly in 2 hours.  Yay!  Now all I had to do was go figure out if my bags made the flight and get something to eat.  Or so I thought.  I walked up to the point where it says “you are exiting the terminal” to ask the guys if there was anything to eat past that point and he says “No ma’am, but you have crossed the line and cannot go back now”.  What!!!!  There was no line on the floor.  Merry Christmas to you too!!!  So there I was hungry and freezing.  I found a radiator to curl up near and slept until it was time to go meet Katie.  It all worked out for the best as Mike came to pick Katie and I up and feed us on the way to the other airport to pick up my bags and get home, just a mere 6 hours late.
