1 in 100 (or ~40,000) babies each year are born with a congenital heart defect. Zoe is one of those and it is my job to take care of these little ones, so it is near a dear to our hearts. So last week was CHD awareness week and our parental support group made sure we had a fun activity for the kiddos on Valentines Day. They arranged for each “heart” child and their sibling to paint a heart shaped box at a potty studio. We had such fun even if Zoe had more fun socializing than painting.

Our first dentist appointment went well on the 2nd. Zoe cried for most of it, but it was that whiny cry that stopped immediately when they said all finished. Teeth look healthy, 10 on top and 10 on bottom. We even bought some cool chocolate ice cream flavor toothpaste…..I know, sounds disgusting, but it actually tastes like ice cream and better yet, she likes to brush with it. Next appointment in 6 months.
